The C-SHRP
Directory of Superpave Resources has been developed to provide access to
information concerning the Superpave system for asphalt mix design and
promote its use in Canada. The
directory includes contact information for technology transfer teams,
provincial transportation agencies, academic institutions, training
facilities, asphalt user/producer groups and road builder associations.
Technology
Transfer Teams
Technology
Transfer is the movement of research findings into practice where results
can be of benefit to users. The sooner new findings are implemented into
service, the earlier the performance and economic benefits of the products
begin to accrue. The following
agencies provide Superpave technology transfer to expedite the
implementation effort in Canada.
Canadian
Strategic Highway Research Program (Ottawa, ON)
The
emphasis of C-SHRP’s technology transfer program is on promoting the
assessment and implementation of the more than 130 products that resulted
from SHRP research. A range of
assessment activities is undertaken within the strategy to promote informed
decision-making about SHRP products, especially Superpave.
These activities include evaluations, demonstrations, seminars,
workshops, and technical briefs.
C-SHRP
also monitors the Superpave implementation effort in Canada through surveys
of its sponsoring agencies.
